Regain access to your multi-factor authentication (MFA) if you lose your device

If you lose access to your multi-factor authentication device, follow these steps to reset your MFA settings and reconfigure your account:

  1. Contact your organization's administrator: Ask your organization's administrator to reset your MFA settings.
  2. Administrator resets MFA settings: The administrator will follow the steps in the Reset multi-factor authentication for another user section to reset your MFA settings.
  3. Reconfigure MFA on your new device: After your MFA settings are reset, set up MFA on your new device using the standard configuration steps for your chosen authentication method.
