Changes to how we apply refunds and chargebacks to balances

From December 7, 2026, we’re changing how we apply refunds and chargebacks to your balances.

Currently, we apply these changes to your pending balance. After December 7, we will apply any refunds and chargebacks to your available balance.

How this affects your balances

See the example below for an illustration of how your financial flows will work following this change:

After these changes take effect, we will update our reports generated via the Dashboard, API, SFTP, and webhooks to show the impact of refunds and chargebacks being applied to the Available balance.

If your Available balance is insufficient to cover the refunded or charged back amount, your Available balance will become negative. When funds transition from Pending to Available, any negative Available balance will be offset from this fund movement.

Changes to Financial Actions Reports

The Financial Actions by Date Range and Financial Actions by Payout ID reports will now show the impact of refunds on the Available balance, instead of the Pending balance:
