A merchant category code (MCC) is a four-digit number that describes your primary business. MCCs are used for activity tracking, reporting, and risk management.
If Checkout.com is your acquirer, we assign you one or more MCCs during your account setup. However, card schemes retain the right to require corrections to MCC assignments and use.
