A payment is only ever paid out in one settlement payout.
However, a payment can be referenced in multiple settlements for the following reasons:
Interchange fees
The Interchange fee was charged at a later date when Checkout.com received it from the card scheme.
To have Interchange fees applied instantly at the point of capture, consider enabling Predictive Interchange. For more information, contact your account manager or support@checkout.com.
Rejected, returned, and carried forward settlements
If a generated settlement is not paid out for the following reasons, the payments in that settlement are included in the next settlement:
- The settlement is rejected or returned.
- Your Available balance is negative, zero, or below your payout threshold, and you have Carried forward status enabled.
A Financial Actions Report by Payout ID Report is generated for every generated settlement. You can use this report to check if a specific payment was included.
