Changes to your settlement speed

Checkout.com is changing the standard settlement speed for some currencies. For affected currencies, funds take one extra business day to move from your Pending balance to your Available balance. Your settlement schedule and bank details stay the same.

Why the settlement speed is changing

We're aligning funds availability with the time it takes us to receive funding from the card schemes. This helps us provide a reliable and consistent settlement service across currencies and regions.

What changes for you

The only change is the time it takes for funds to move from Pending to Available for affected currencies. The following stay exactly as they are today:

  • Your settlement schedule, which is how often you receive a payout.
  • Your settlement bank account details.
  • Your integration. You do not need to make any changes to it.

Affected currencies

Availability speed depends on your region and your settlement currency. To check the speed that applies to each currency and region, see the fund availability speeds documentation.

The new speeds take effect on October 18, 2026.

How this affects your cash flow

For affected currencies, funds become available one business day later than they do today. This affects cash-flow planning, including when you fund refunds, pay your bills, or make payments to your own customers.

For example, if your current settlement speed is T+1, transactions captured on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday that previously became available on Monday now become available on Tuesday.

Review any payment schedules that depend on the timing of your Checkout.com balance, and adjust them before the new speeds take effect.

If you need faster access to funds, accelerated settlements may be available for your account.

Is this a change to your agreement?

No. Settlement speed is not a fixed commitment in your agreement. It is the standard speed we set for each currency and region.

For questions about how this change applies to your account, contact your account manager or request support.
