What's the difference between an RRN and an ARN?

A Retrieval Reference Number (RRN) is a unique identifier assigned to a card transaction during the authorization stage.

An Acquirer Reference Number (ARN) is a unique identifier assigned to a card transaction during the capture stage. An ARN is only available if the payment was captured.

For some schemes, the two values may be equivalent.
