If you're unable to void a payment, check if:
- The payment was auto-captured. Most APMs offer only auto-capturing payments, and these can't be voided.
- The payment method's authorization validity has expired. Authorization validity typically ranges between 7 and 14 days, and varies depending on the payment method. Some payment methods allow you to request a custom authorization validity period of up to 30 days. After the authorization period expires, the issuer automatically releases the authorized funds, and voiding the transaction is no longer possible.
- The payment has been captured. Captured payments can't be voided, but they can be refunded.
