Delay in transaction processing

A settlement or payout transaction may have Pending status without any updates. There are several possible reasons for delays in processing a transaction, including:

  • Negative balance – If your balance is negative due to payouts, no settlement is generated.
  • Sanctions screening – Every transaction goes through a sanctions screening to ensure compliance with international regulations. This process can delay transactions, especially if additional information is required.
  • Additional information requested – Checkout.com may require additional information from the merchant to verify the transaction. You may receive a request for information (RFI) from our rfi@compliance.checkout.com email address.
  • Incorrect beneficiary bank details – For settlements and payouts, there may be delays if incorrect beneficiary details were provided.
